Accelus Card

The Accelus servo amplifier drives DC brushless motors in position, velocity, or torque modes with 100% digital control. New-generation DSP technology provides unprecedented bandwidth and enables advanced commutation and tuning algorithms. Commutation is sinusoidal using encoder feedback from the motor. Hall signals are used for phase-initialization and phase-correction eliminating motor hunting after power-up.

Copley Controls Accelus Card Servo Amplifier


Accelnet

Accelnet is a high-performance, DC powered amplifier for position, velocity (using encoder, Halls, or BEMF), and torque control of brushless and brush motors. It can operate as a distributed drive using the CANopen or DeviceNet protocols, or as a stand-alone drive accepting analog or digital commands from an external motion controller. In stand-alone mode, current and velocity modes accept digital 50% PWM or PWM/polarity inputs as well as ±10V analog. In position mode inputs can be incremental position commands from step-motor controllers, analog ±10V, or A/B quadrature commands from a master-encoder. Pulse to position ratio is programmable for electronic gearing.

Accelnet models operate as Motion Control Devices under the DSP-402 protocol of the CANopen DS-301 V4.01 (EN 50325-4) application layer. DSP-402 modes supported include: Profile Position, Profile Velocity, Profile Torque, Interpolated Position Mode (PVT), and Homing. The two CAN ports are optically isolated from amplifier circuit.

Junus

The Junus™ digital servoamplifier puts 100% digital control of DC brush motors in a panel-mounting package with power options to ±15 Adc continuous and ±30 Adc peak from +20 Vdc to +180 Vdc DC power supplies.Torque mode operation works with popular position-loop controllers that use PID filters to close a position-loop. Sensorless velocity control works with position loop controllers that only output a position-error signal such as PLC’s. Set-up is fast and automated by CME 2™ software operating under Windows®.

Xenus R Series

Xenus R10 A ruggedized, AC powered servo drive for position, velocity, and torque control of AC brushless and DC brush motors. It operates on a distributed control network, as a stand-alone indexing drive, or with external motion controllers. Indexing mode simplifies operation with PLC\'s that use outputs to select and launch indexes and inputs to read back drive status. A single serial port on the PLC can send ASCII data to multiple drives to change motion profiles as machine requirements change. DeviceNet capability enables multiple Xenus R10 drives to be controlled from Allen-Bradley PLC\'s. CAN bus operation supports Profile Position, Profile Velocity, Profile Torque, Interpolated Position, and Homing.

Up to 127 Xenus R10 drives can operate on a single CAN bus and groups of drives can be linked via the CAN so that they execute motion profiles together. Operation in torque (current), velocity, and position modes with external motion controllers is supported. Input command signals are ±10 Vdc (torque, velocity, position), PWM/Polarity (torque, velocity), or Step/Direction (position).

CAN PCI Card

A highly cost-effective dual-channel CAN card makes the connection between Copley’s distributed control software and CANopen servo and stepper drives. The two independent CAN ports are galvanically isolated to provide greater noise immunity in industrial environments. An on-board microcontroller off-loads tasks from the host computer enabling faster system performance.PCI compliant, it is compatible with both 3.3 Vdc and 5 Vdc computers.

CAN PCI Card



CAN I/O Processor

A PC board-mounting card for adding I/O to a CAN distributed control network. The CAN-IPM-01 combines configurable digital I/O points with dedicated analog and digital inputs and outputs to enhance distributed control networks using Copley’s CANopen servo drives and stepper drivers.

Nine 8-bit ports are configurable as digital input or outputs. Twelve A/D ports convert 0-3 Vdc signals into 12-bit values. Twelve PWM outputs can be low-pass filtered to produce analog signals. Eight dedicated digital inputs set the CAN node address and bit-rate.

The DSP/microcontroller is the same type that is used in Copley’s digital motion products and has the same software interface.The card supports CAN bus bit-rates up to 1 Mbit/sec and RS-232 communications to 115,200 Baud.
