Versatile Handheld Readers

The DataMan® 800 Series of handheld image-based readers offer three models to choose from to best fit your code reading application. All three models offer omnidirectional scanning of all major 1D and 2D symbologies. The unique targeting pattern of the readers also helps to increase worker productivity by allowing for faster scanning.

DataMan 800

The DataMan 800 reader, equipped with a 1.3 megapixel imager, offers high-performance features and superior image quality allowing you to read 1D and 2D barcodes accurately and quickly. The DataMan 800 provides true point-and-shoot barcode capture—there is no need to orient products to face the scanner window. And, a viewfinder ensures the image is properly captured the first time. Switch between hands-free and handheld operation to quickly, easily and safely scan larger items. The DataMan 800 is designed to endure the rigors of everyday use with a 6ft./1.8m drop specification and a tempered glass exit window.

DataMan 850

The DataMan 850 delivers fast, accurate data capture of 1D barcodes and 2D (Data Matrix and QR) codes. Designed for fast-paced industrial production environments, the CMOS image sensors enable the accurate capture and processing of barcodes at rates faster than other standard readers for maximum productivity. The DataMan 850 offers a powerful 624MHz microprocessor capable of decoding 1D and/or 2D codes in milliseconds, regardless of size or density. The DataMan 850 brings comprehensive, high-performance data capture to harsh industrial environments. It is a rugged, corded reader designed to withstand multiple 6.5ft./2m drops to concrete. It also offers an IP65-rated seal, making it impervious to dust and water. Also, the exit window is scratch resistant and recessed for the highest level of durability. In addition, noisy machinery and poor lighting can make it difficult for operators to see or hear scanner feedback to ensure proper completion of scans. The DataMan 850 addresses this challenge with bright LEDs and adjustable volume beeper, and a vibrating pager motor placed in the handle. These features ensure that decode feedback is clearly visible and audible to users, saving valuable worker time.

DataMan 855

The DataMan 855 offers all the industrial features of the DataMan 850 reader with the added advantage of integrated Bluetooth® technology. Integrated Bluetooth eliminates the cord between the scanner and the host, enabling employees to move freely throughout the workspace. Productivity, efficiency and even worker safety can be improved. Plus, the elimination of the cord reduce potential downtime from cable breakdowns.
