The Solutions in Motion technology seminar is a technological review of modern motion control systems. This full day session covers: Steppers vs .Servos, Feedback Devices, Controller Types for various architectures (PLC, Bus-Based, stand-alone) and sizing and system selection. The Mechanics in Motion technology seminar is a review of bearing and drive technologies available for modern day mechanical solutions. The five most popular bearing designs; Ball and Rod, Cross Roller, Round Rail, Square Rail and Air Bearing will be discussed. As well as the most popular drive mechanism designs; leadscrew, ballscrew, belt, rack-and-pinion, linear motor and piezo-electric motors will be reviewed. Gantry systems, laser mapped precision grade stages, closed loop linear feedback will also be covered. Application examples are provided to aid understanding. Slide/Video Presentation Format.

Olympus Controls offers a seminar dedicated to the topic of modern robotic motion control in flexible automation work cells. Olympus Controls will cover topics related to the implementation of SCARA, Articulated, Cartesian, and Gantry-style robots. Discussion includes typical uses of these different types of robots with and without machine vision. Specific application examples are reviewed with each topic.
