Ceramic Servo Motor Nanomotion's HR Series motors
range in a size from a single element (providing 4N of force)
to an eight element motor (providing 32N of force). The HR
Series is capable of driving both linear and rotary stages.
The HR Series motors have a wide dynamic range of speed, from
several microns per second to 250mm/sec and can easily mount
to traditional low friction stages or other devices. The
unique operating characteristics of the HR Series motors
provide inherent braking and the ability to eliminate servo
dither when in a static
position.

Sub-Micron Optical
Encoder Renishaw's tape based encoder systems provides
resolutions from 10 µm to 10 nm. The durable scale can be cut
to any user-defined length up to 70 m. Thanks to unique
filtering optics it requires none of the careful handling and
cleaning that many traditional scales need. Signal strength,
purity and accuracy are all maintained in conditions
considered unsuitable for most open optical
encoders.

Porous Carbon Air Bearings Unlike the orifices used
in conventional air bearings, New Way Porous Media Air
Bearings control the airflow across the entire bearing surface
through millions of holes in the porous material. Because of
this they will still fly even after being severely scratched
and have superior performance due to more consistent air
pressure distribution. New Way air stages combine an accurate
guide with an air stage in one component. This provides the
user with the convenience of integrated guide and bearing
systems. These stages have a straightness of smoothness of
motion often an order or magnitude better than conventional
rolling element bearings.

Miniature Linear Motor The TT Micro meets the industry
challenge for miniaturization, simplicity of installation and
performance in linear motion. Linear motor cost is redefined
with advanced polymers and manufacturing methods. The
ruggedness of the Micro's tubular design sets a new standard
for cost of ownership.
The TT Micro design enables the
load to be mounted directly on the forcer without heatsinking.
With a moving mass of just 70 grams, the forcer makes optimal
use of available thrust to accelerate the load. A large air
gap and bearing mounting surface makes mechanical integration
easy.

Ultra-High Resolution Positioner The MK Series is a
family of linear stages that utilize Nanomotion’s patented
ceramic servo motors to provide exceptional performance in a
very small form factor. Leveraging the advantage of the
highest force per motor size, the MK Series focuses on
assemblies that are smaller than typical commercial stages and
optimize the performance of the ceramic servo motor. As the
motor is often the ‘enabling technology’ to achieve the
desired motion control performance, Nanomotion is in an
optimal position, as the motor manufacturer, to provide the
complete solution and assure performance
specifications.
