What is your job title, and what does that position entail?
I work out of the Tualatin office as the NW, CA & Gulf division Client Account Rep Manager, I work with my Sales Engineer Paul Woodhouse to cover a handful of strategic accounts. My role as a CAR includes handling everything for our clients from the time the order comes in until the payment is received and the order is closed; including order processing, shipping, expediting, invoicing, collections and everything in between. Seeing each order through from start to finish really allows us to take ownership of our territory and build stronger relationships with our clients. As the Client Account Rep Manager I manage and support an awesome CAR team in their day to day responsibilities in managing their own individual territories, I also assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures not only for our department but for other departments as well in an effort for continuous growth and improvement so we can continue to have great relationships with our internal and external customers and provide the best possible experience for our clients.

How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from?
I have been with Olympus Controls since December of 2010 . Before I joined the Olympus family I worked for a small commercial Fire Sprinkler company as a Permit Tech / Customer Service Rep. I enjoyed my time with AFP Systems but my husband and I decided to move to Texas to be closer to my family. We were hoping for big opportunities and a change of scenery, but after a summer of 43 straight days of 100+ degree temps and the biggest spiders I’ve ever seen, we decided to pack it up and head back to the Pacific NW and we couldn’t be happier.

What do you like best about working at Olympus?
The best thing about working for Olympus Controls is the people. I have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of talented and hardworking individuals who also enjoy having a little fun while working. It’s a very fun and relaxed work environment which everyone enjoys. On any given day you might find a practical joke happening or a competitive game of ping pong out in the warehouse but no matter what’s going on you will always hear laughter. We’re not just a group of co-workers, we are also friends.

Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, my sweet doggo- Kya, traveling, camping, watching football (Go Ducks and 49ers), running, and I’m a big fan of Skydiving, can’t wait for the opportunity to jump again. Life really is all about adventures, experiencing new things, making memories and surrounding yourself with family and friends.

What is one thing your customers might find surprising about you?
Probably the one thing my customers would find most surprising is that I used to be a licensed Pyrotechnics Operator in Nevada and Texas; each year I would fly off to Vegas or the Dallas area for the 4th of July and shoot the large city fireworks shows. It was a few days of really hard work for 15-20 mins of ooohs and ahhhs!
