What is your job title, and what does that position entail?
Client Account Representative covering the Oregon and SW Washington territory. It entails order entry, purchasing product from our suppliers, shipping, invoicing and of course, great customer service!
How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from? A little history of how you got involved with Olympus?
I started in October, 2018 and I previously worked at Stash Tea as a Sales Assistant. I saw a CAR job posting from Olympus Controls and knew that they had a very high employee rating, so I submitted my resume. After meeting a number of people from the company during the interview process, I was very excited and happy to accept the job offer!
What do you like best about working at Olympus?
There’s a lot to like about working at Olympus. I love how organized the company is and how structured their processes are, the positive environment, the fun & warm personalities of the employees and of course all of the “above and beyond” things that the company does for its employees to show appreciation and to make it an excellent place to work.
Describe a little of your past history.
I worked for Stash Tea as a Sales Assistant for approximately a year & a half, and before that I held an International Account Representative position at an Aerospace materials distributor for nearly 7 years. The experience between these two companies and industries have provided a great background for me to understand much of the procedures and customer skills needed for processing and managing orders, working with customers and knowing different aspects of company operations.
Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?
I love nature, so I love to go hiking and exploring different places around Oregon, baking, watching movies, hanging out at home with my husband, our three dogs and hanging out with our son when he’s able to come home on the weekends (he’s a Navy submariner, stationed about 3 hours away).
What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?
A positive attitude goes a long way; hard work pays off by building personal character & strength; be yourself and don’t be afraid to try new things.
