What is your job title, and what does that position entail?
I am a Production Technician. Preform value add to products. Any where from assembling custom cables, assembly of motors to gearboxes, to programming drives and testing.
How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from? A little history of how you got involved with Olympus?
I started with Olympus in March of 2015. I Knew my boss through some friends. One day we were talking about work and how they needed to new people. I said “hire me” as a joke. He said “send me your resume” and the rest is history.
What do you like best about working at Olympus?
I like just about everything about my job. I look forward to coming to work every day. I am challenged consistently and extremely blessed to get to work with\be a part of such an awesome team of people! We all work hard and play harder. I have great value in my job and company.
Describe a little of your past history.
I am originally from Lebanon, Oregon. Where I grew up in the country on a farm with lots of animals, horses being my favorite. I moved to the Sherwood Oregon area in 2009. At that time i worked at a few call centers, over a 5-year period before I found my awesome job, here at Olympus Controls.
Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?
I love to spend time outdoors. I have a huge heart for animals and love taking long horseback rides in the woods. I spend as much time as possible with family and friends. I enjoy hitting the rock gym with friends after work or on the weekend.
What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?
I have learned so much from this company and all the amazing people I work with! A key lesson I I have learn is the importance of others, working together and succeeding as one. Team work makes the dream work!
What is one thing your customers might find surprising about you?
I started at Olympus as the first part kitting technician. I pulled the build of materials for all jobs and did some production work as well.
