What is your job title, and what does that position entail?
I’m a Client Account Representative out of the Texas office. My territories cover DFW, Oklahoma, & Arkansas. The CAR position entails everything from order processing, purchasing, logistics, and invoicing.
How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from? A little history of how you got involved with Olympus?
I started with Olympus in April 2018. I came from HD Vest, a broker dealer in Irving, Texas. I was working as an Advisor Support Specialist. I found myself at Olympus because a few years ago when I was a bartender/server, I met my now boss when I was bringing out her sandwich… She told me, “I’d love to have you work for me someday..”. A year and a half later, I found myself interviewing for this position!
What do you like best about working at Olympus?
I like working for this company because they treat their employees like family and truly care about you succeeding at your job. It doesn’t matter what role you have in this company, everyone helps everyone.
Describe a little of your past history.
I was in the service industry for 7 years. I did everything including, bartending, serving, cart girl, weddings, and special events.
Then one day I decided it was time for a change of pace, so I took a job in finance as an advisor support consultant.
What was your first job ever?
I was a life guard at Hawaiian Falls. I never had to save anyone’s life though…
Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I like to be outdoors. Take the dogs to the dog park and run (let’s be honest, WALK) the trails. My boyfriend Josh and I are a part of a canoe/kayaking club, Dallas Down River Club. We take regular trips to rivers all over Texas and surrounding states. We also like to participate in Obstacle Course Races/Mud Runs. He’s way better at it than I am, but luckily we are apart of a great team that helps him carry me when I get exhausted (half a mile in…).
What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?
In all the careers I have had so far, I have found that no matter what your job is, customer service experience HELPS.
Also, being there for your coworkers is a must! A great team helps a company go a long way.
Most importantly, make the best of it! If you have to work, don’t go into it dreading it or you’ll never be happy.
What is one thing your customers might find surprising about you?
I am a Texan that does not like the Cowboys 😊 Go Steelers!
