What is your job title, and what does that position entail?
I am a client account representative. I cover Southern California, Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. In this position I process orders from beginning to end. I answer customer inquiries and work with the engineers to get the customer what they need.
How long have you worked at Olympus, where did you come from? A little history of how you got involved with Olympus?
I joined Olympus in September of 2017. I’ve been here almost a year now. The time has flown by! Before I worked here, I was the receptionist at an occupational therapist clinic near my home town. I spent about two years there out of college. I then heard about Olympus through a good friends mom, now a fellow employee. They were looking for a receptionist and I was ready to try my hand at a different industry. I spent 5 months as the receptionist and then transitioned to the client account rep position.
What do you like best about working at Olympus?
My favorite thing about working at Olympus is the people. I truly enjoy my coworkers and we always have a great time together. There are plenty of shared laughs day to day. We like to have fun!!
Describe a little of your past history.
I grew up in a small town in Oregon called Canby. I still live there and absolutely love it.
What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?
ASK QUESTIONS!! There are so many things to learn in this position and I ask at least one question every day to make sure I am learning everything that I can.
What is one thing your customers might find surprising about you?
I am a classically trained ballerina. I am trained in many other styles, but ballet was my main focus growing up. I danced & taught for about 15 years until I graduated college and was limited to the amount of time I could dedicate to it. Now I just bust a move now & then… Most of my coworkers have caught me doing so! Haha
