Olympus Controls named top 100 companies to work for in 2017
Olympus Controls is so proud of the culture we’ve created and that it’s been recognized publicly. We’ve been named one of the top 100 companies to work for in Oregon for 2017 (#8 in the medium-sized business category). The award is given by Oregon Business Magazine and the results are a combination of objective factors (compensation plan, health/dental insurance, vacation policy, 401k Plan/match, etc.) and subjective feedback from our employees via a confidential online survey. We consider this to be one of the highest accolades we could ever receive because it didn’t come from one of our supplier partners or valued clients, it came from our awesome employees!
At Olympus Controls, we're committed to ongoing skills development so that our people deliver added value and quality to our clients; it's how we strengthen our brand in the marketplace. Olympus Controls employees receive world-class learning opportunities through a system we call our “Three-Legged Stool,” where we balance industry knowledge, product knowledge, and account knowledge into an integrated training curriculum.
We believe in helping our people reach their full potential. That's why building professional relationships to help our people learn and achieve their career goals is integral to our culture. We help our people receive leading-edge technical training as well as skill-building programs and experiences. By assigning a coach, we are able to guide you through these areas where you can continue to grow and develop. Coaching, either formally or informally, happens every day at Olympus Controls.
Our people are most successful when they have the everyday flexibility to balance the demands of their professional life with their life priorities. We want to provide a work environment where our employees can find a comfortable work-life balance.
Our Work Hard – Play Hard mantra are not just words; it’s a life style here at Olympus Controls.
We also offer two career paths for our Engineers – Sales and Technical. If you like working with clients and solving complex challenges for them, then Automation Sales could be a great career option for you. If you prefer more hard-core design, we have multiple Automation Design career options available – Mechanical, Electrical, or Software. Both our Sales and Technical staff work together on each project so everyone has an appreciation of the value we all bring to the solutions’ process.
You’ll be well compensated for your contributions at Olympus Controls. Naturally, we’ll pay you a very competitive salary. But that’s just the start. As a Olympus Controls team member, you will have a significant stake in the future of the business. We operate generous bonus and share plans to ensure your contribution is recognized, and you have the opportunity to benefit from the long-term success of the company.
It takes extraordinary people to make an extraordinary company. For us to deliver quality products, service, and value to our clients, we need our people to have a similar experience here at our company. Part of that experience is recognizing and rewarding staff performance in innovative and competitive ways. Career satisfaction is focused on more than money—it’s also about having great opportunities, learning and developing, building relationships, and being recognized for your accomplishments. But most of all, it’s about feeling supported as you strive to achieve your own goals and grow your career.
